The Mustangs Win their first game of the season
After a hard fought loss last week against the Mellieha Northenders, the Mustangs rallied to an 18-0 win over the Devils.
The Mustangs took advantage of their opposing teams pitcher where he was struggling to find the strike zone and scored 6 runs in the bottom of the first, then the Mustangs scored another 4 runs in the second, and the finished the Devils off in the 3rd after winning by an 18 run mercy rule. The Devils attempted 2 pitching changes in the Bottom of the 3rd inning trying to keep the game alive.
The Mustangs shut their offence down primarily with their pitching in which last year’s Most Valuable Player Kevin Spiteri pitched 3 shut-out innings. Also the Latest addition to the Mustangs Roster, James Simon, continued to impress with an inside the park Home Run.

A Like for Baseball
Throw up a “Like” for… broken-in bats, that glove that feels just right, the smell of fresh cut grass and the red dirt stuck in your cleats… for the bottom of the ninth, for that sac-fly, and for base hit that roll into the corner… for your pitcher, who’s stuff is just electric today and your clean-up guy who strolls up to the plate… for everything that makes this game great…
